OlderSometimesWiser close relatives lived in a historic home on the old town square in an area that turned commercial, and back to back with a fried chicken fast food restaurant. Parking was tight and delivery trucks occasionally parked near relatives front door. Raw chicken was delivered stacked on hand carried huge trays, 50+ raw, uncovered chickens stacked on like 36” diameter trays, difficult for the one person delivery person to manage, so occasionally a few chickens fell off the tray to the curb or street, and were picked up, dusted off and returned to the tray. One day the delivery person lost his balance and the whole tray of raw chickens hit the dirt. It took a while but the delivery man managed to get them all back on the tray and complete his delivery.
Whenever I think about fast food chicken I also thing about the time the driver lost his balance and it all fell to the curb.
