I Have a Question

what does it mean if a place you sent a resume to sends you a ton of paperwork to do? this just happened to me last wk, I was sending out resumes over the wknd, nothing better to do, and yes on christmas day since noone had asked me over, and i couldnt go to church cause my ride cancelled cause it was snowing a lot.

on monday someone called me and it was a recruiter, she said someone would call me the next day, it was about those jobs where you hand out samples to people in supermarkets. after that i got a ton of stuff to fill out online and then also printed out 32 pages to take home with me and it took me 4 -5 days to fill it out since i had stuff to do like doctor appts, etc, i also had to do an online course for food handling which i had to pay for but i dont mind if theyre willing to hire me. I did pass it and got the certificate for it too, not sure how i managed that since im not good at school stuff. maybe cause ive worked in food service before when i was in resorts so i knew a lot of stuff already.

today i went to the library and printed out the certificate and then went to the post office which wasnt that far from there and bought a big envelope to put all those papers in. I put 32 in there plus a copy of my food handling certificate, i printed one out for myself too as a souvenier. anyways, i put all 32 pages plus the certificate, let the guy weigh it since i didnt know how many stamps to get and mailed it to them. so my question is after all the work i was doing this wk, did someone just hire me? im kind of confused, and i also had to sign something for background check stuff too.
