That is the saddest part. I hope to God you are not or never will be a parent. Your child's life would be no more sacred to you than that of a zoo animal. Pathetic. Done with you.

That was heartbreaking :( They have closed the gorilla exhibit indefinitely. Sad that an endangered species lost his life, and the little boy and the other gorillas in the exhibit are bound to be traumatized.

Yes Hami...they should interview then shoot the gorillas who witnessed this atrocity to free them from their traumatic state. We need to be pro-active here.

Yes, I saw that. What a tragedy. Animal activists are up in arms about it, and I'm very upset. It could be that the gorilla wouldn't have harmed the little boy, but I guess they felt they couldn't take that chance. Personally, I think the gorilla has as much right to life as the boy. The gorilla was already imprisoned - taken from his natural habitat - then shot for doing what gorillas do. I don't see humans as being superior to any other animal, but human mentality says otherwise. Sad.

Little boys can be obnoxious. I am glad they shot him.

yeah I did I think the zoo did the right thing. killing the gorilla was unfortunate but if the boy had died or been injured the zoo would have been in a lot of trouble for not shooting it.

Yes I did. He was just helping the kid stand up then they shot him for it. You should always carry a banana with you just in case you magically teleport into a gorilla cage.

Didn't look aggressive until he dragged the boy. Watched the crowd, but I can't tell without the full video.
