I'm having a similar issue. But I think in the end it's a matter of perception and it doesn't really matter!

I can strongly see how my beliefs are affecting my reality. We're that creative and powerful.. Sometimes I recognise that power outside of myself, in another.
An example, there's another person we're waiting to get a bus together. They're unhappy with the idea of taking the bus so it never arrives. While I love the bus and I know that if I were by myself, I'd have taken it.
