I don’t know. I rented a little rent house after I got divorced. The landlords (3 brothers) had put carpeting in the kitchen and bathroom. One of them owned a carpet-laying business and got the carpet at a discount because it was a smaller pieces from the rolls. He also put turf on the front porch. The carpeting felt good in the bathroom but I cannot imagine what went through his mind to carpet the kitchen unless it was because his mother had been elderly and he didn’t want her to slip and fall. I always took my shoes off at the door and I rented a machine to clean the carpeting after moving in. If I had my way every room would have had tile on it and I could mop it once a week.
