I Have a Question

This is a question for the ladies for SW - I really suck at starting a conversation with woman in real life, what would be the best way or more appropriate way to start a conversation? Complementing on body parts (nice smile, eyes etc) or clothing?

say your in a bar/ask what's your fav drink? and then buy one
you may jog past some girl /you say nice weather for a jog , time of day you enjoy jogging, ask her's
I mean it all depends on the location/situation ..adapt

No need to be awkward. Thank you for your suggestion :D Usually those small talks don't usually get anywhere hence I stop myself from saying anything.
