I live what I call judiciously. I save some, spend some and have enough to splurge on the couple of people I hold dear. I very seldom spend on myself... mostly just things I need, but when I do, I tend to let it rip!

@1Dogma for myself, it was a little over a year ago when I bought myself a new computer and monitor. I just finished (almost finished) going a bit nuts on the person I usually go a bit nuts on at Christmas. Just one last thing to get and I'm done for a while.
I have two savings accounts. One is for emergencies and that I never touch unless it's a real emergency. The other is for when I want to buy stuff for presents, take a road trip, etc. I've gone to a cash only system - I have zero debt and if I put something on a card (for cash back benefit) I pay it off that month.
