I am planning to get an Elf On The Shelf this year. I need some of your ideas and tricks how to do it.

Where should I put him?
What if I forget to move it?
What if the dog eats it?
How should I explain elf on the shelf to the kids?

however you do it, on Christmas eve get some bone in wings and snack on them and take off the elfs head and lay it on the edge of the plate and place the bones in an anatomical way so the kids find it in the morning, for added joy include a note from Santa thanking them for the snack
