Is she playing around?

So my colleague at work wanted to go out with me to a restaurant last time. It was a full fledged plan but last moment she cancelled said she had guests. Even today she did the same saying she was out and is tired. Honestly i am not going to ask or go with her after twice this incident took place. Why would someone do this?

She may not really be that interested.
@RebelFox we are not looking forward for anything. It's just eating out together.

@RebelFox if shes not interested why would she agree to go out in the first place?

@LandOfOz I have done that before a few times. Where I want to do something and be around someone, but not enough to push myself to get there.
@RebelFox why didn't you directly tell that person? I and her just wanted to eat together. She said she was tired because she went out to buy groceries.

@littlepuppywantanewlife In the past I didn’t tell them because I was a coward. I was afraid of disappointing them and losing any future chance.
@RebelFox See. I understand this because i have been facing that at work. She is younger so i guess i would let it go anyway.

@littlepuppywantanewlife If you guys are buds and you care, you could talk to her about it. I doubt she wants to hurt you. Probably hurting herself worse to keep turning down dinner with a nice guy. Might help you both understand and help her in the long run if she knows being honest won’t get her hated 🖤
@RebelFox Thank you. I think of her as a friend. I do care about people. 🙂
