Question about patient x

Patient x has suffered Borderline anemia most of their life, iron levels plummeted during the past year.

Patient x also suffers from severe depression, they take their mediciation which keeps them alive.

My question

Does Patient x sleep so much, but wakes up still tired and wants to go back to sleep because their iron is so low or because of the depression?

I'd say more depression. When I had low iron I wasnt too tired, but more just ran out of breath doing normal activity. The oxygen rich red blood cell was low, with iron, so less oxygen in body. I was a bit tired but nothing where I always wanted to go back to bed. Thyroid levels can make one very tired..maybe patient should get that checked, simple test, simple treatment one pill a day if its level is off.
But yeah depression can make one feel so burned out. Id eliminate thyroid first though.
For me, its depression. Low energy bc we'd rather sleep to escape than actually be awake for all of it. Nothing really medically wrong actually.

I get this way when im starting to spiral in my depression. What's really bad is when Im so tired, but to anxious to sleep that Ineed something to help me sleep. At that point Im deep into depression but not rock bottom yet.
Patient X may have another condition that also makes him/her sleepy.

How does our patient sleep at night???
