Is it possible for two people with very similar way of thinking to exist together ? If yes, what would be their ideal relationship? [I Question]

I've noticed that I can't live with someone who is too similar to me. We tend to fall into the same roles in a relationship (both submissive or both dominant or both needing to be taken care of, etc) and we cancel each other out and can't fulfill each other's needs.
