When did you last see parent no n?

Crazychick · 36-40, F
@malizz You mean "paret"? What are you talking about?
malizz · 70-79, M
@Crazychick Just degendering the title of the famous picture.
Crazychick · 36-40, F
@malizz I don't get it. How does "parent no n" degender the famous picture title?
malizz · 70-79, M
@Crazychick The original has "your father?" as the last 2 words. By William Yeames from 1878

@malizz So what's the meaning of the phrase "parent no n"?
malizz · 70-79, M
@Crazychick Parent no 1 and Parent no 2 is what they put on degendered official documents. (ie n = 1 or 2)
Crazychick · 36-40, F
@malizz I wouldn't have figured that out in a billion years even if I literally lived that long. Apart from anything else, I didn't think of "no" as "number", I thought it meant "no n" as in "there isn't an n in it". How was I supposed to know it didn't mean that?
malizz · 70-79, M
@Crazychick Sorry for the mathematic speak.
Crazychick · 36-40, F
@malizz I don't usually have a problem with mathematic speak, but you must admit that comment was ambiguous and confusing.
