I Have a Question

Some last night some guy was talking about how similar Trump and Hitler are.

I mentioned that I study hard on history especially human atrocities and have a difficult time finding the similarity between the two.

So instead of answering me why he supports his claim he blocked me. Which is fine.

But I’m curious what you guys might think the similarities are.

Try to be educated on this.

The most amazing parallel for me is that Hitler's followers rationalised everything he did, no matter how wrong. This certainly did not apply to all Germans, many of whom felt incredibly powerless as they watched Hitler.

The difference is, Hitler was one of the most powerful and articulate speakers of the 20th century. He actually was intelligent. Trump is demonstrably inarticulate (can barely complete a sentence) and unintelligent. He is extremely shrewd and cunning, though. No, they aren't the same thing.

Like Hitler's true believers, Trump's followers swallow, without chewing:
Trump's lies (on video record telling the lies, denying them, etc), arrogance (nobody knows more about... than me. As he speaks he demonstrates his ignorance on most of those topics for anyone who is educated to see); stupidity (alongside his arrogance. Let's find a way to inject bleach, etc); blameshifting; megalomaniacal tendencies, his complete screwup of the COVID-19 to make America the world's basket case, etc.

Trump supporters rationalise it all. It's disturbing. It's all there on video record, but they somehow think he's on their side. He's demonstrably helping the 1% to a bigger share.

@Abstraction What arrogance! So you are telling me almost half the voters in the US, made up of various races and colors swallow but don't chew?? In other words you arr more intelligent than those millions if people? Along with the CNN fake reporting of taking something that is not entirely true and twisting it for their own agenda? I can show you dozens of concrete examples that cannot be disputed no matter what political stripe you are. Can you with your emotional arguments? You are extremely arrogant and have a bloated opinion of yourself. In truth really all you are is a parrot that is too scared to think for himself, because it is easier for you to belong and be popular if you go along with this diatribe. You are scared little arrogant boy who is whistling in the dark. You are what Freud referred to as a King Baby. Lol Wow! Egos like yours combined with power end up killing people. You call yourself educated? Was it some socialist university that does not along debate? Me thinks so mate. Read Animal Farm.

@wexxxxcccc Ah, no. I spend my life helping people, not harming anyone. I've got a lifetime record of that, thanks.

You asked for views, you don't like what you hear. No problems. But you are also saying things I didn't say. Then you resort to all kinds of assumptions and name-calling about me that are patently incorrect.

If you don't do stupid things, you aren't stupid. So if Trump lies - he's been caught on video so many times - and you say, yeah, he lies sometimes; he's a bit arrogant and sometimes says dumb things, but I like his policies - then you aren't a person who swallows without chewing. You just have different politics, and that's fine. I respect people with different, thoughtful views. But I've met many Trump followers (it's probably a small percentage) who just write off any criticism of Trump as 'fake news' even when it's there on youtube. That is what leaves me incredulous.

And yes, I apply the same principle to both sides of politics.

@Abstraction By the way you are skewing things here. Just like the stooges at CNN do. Every se the video of the CNN production director saying we know the Russia thing is bullshit but look what it does for the ratings? And seeing as you arr presenting yourself as the morally and intellectually superior one, why didn't you go after Clinton with the same zest? Are her wrongs acceptable? Do you know why a lot of people voted for Trump? Not because it was Trump and some hillbilly fantasy, rather because they were tired of the whole establishment and the crap they fed us and the corruption they were into.Especially middle America. I always considered myself a middle of the road classic democrat, but the ones they have for leaders now ard f*ucking crazy and they cater to these extremists.

@Abstraction Really you do huh? Well what makes you think others don't have a life time of helping people or are you unique? Just so happens I too have a life time of helping people but because my view point is different than yours my record must be less important. Show me your evidence. I will also show you evidence of every other Presidents since the beginnng of time also lied, so you actually don't apply the same principles as you seem to think you do. By the way I am not a die hard fan of Trump and yes he says some stupid things for sure. But long before we get to him hoe about the others before him who should have been jailed based on the constitution?

And by the way I will "take my head out of my ass" as you so rudely and arrogantly suggested and say I am not disagreeing with everything you said, but at the same time if you think everything you said is true you are very naive my friend.
Abstraction · 61-69, M
@wexxxxcccc Are you still going? Goodness, emotion much? Abuse much? And I didn't ever say 'take your head out of your ass' or even imply it. I didn't say other people don't help others, I simply responded to what you assumed about me. Read it properly.

These are your words.
...small minded scared individuals who cannot stand some one even challenging their point of view. They do this not because they care about the country; they do it instead because of their fragile egos. ...they argue based on emotions not facts.
I have a different view than you. It's ok, that's life. Relax.
I'm not interested in an angry conversation. Perhaps the reason people block you is that you're quite angry and abusive rather than they are afraid.

@Abstraction haha. Are you even hearing what I say? Your first comment to me ever was "take your head out of your ass"? And now you come across as some sweet thing that was "only trying to have a conversation and and well thats why people probably block you aanand and oh my your so abusive" ( even though telling me to take my head out of my ass is in no way abusive ). You are the perfect "bait and switch", the epitome of sociopathy of the far left, the "do as I say not as I do". Telling some one they have a fragile ego (after they were rude in the first place) is not abusive but understandably might feel abusive because the truth sometimes can feel that way for someone who is not at the point of acceptance. And it is very obvious now that you do have a fragile ego based on your passive-agressive response. Nice trick though. A little slimy but nice. Nice way to roll it. Lol. As far as blocking I don't think I have had anyone block me over conversations like this, but guess what! You can be the first! And you obviously are interested in angry conversation, its just that you do it in a passive-aggressive way. So I can understand why you would block me when your self esteem is low. Its natural for a person with low self esteem to call out "abuse" and deflect from their own inadequacies. I actuay don't mind your views; rather I mind your manner and the childish and arrogant way in which you present your views. Intellect without discipline I find nauseating. And finally If I was really abusive and angry I would tell you to go f*ck yourself. But I am not telling you that am I?. ..I am only suggesting it. Now I think I am going to go relax (the one suggestion of yours that I agree with). Its ok. Your ego will recover. ☺
Replying to me again will only serve to further show how fragile you are and that is actually you who is mad and wish to carry on. If you feel so abused then blocking me might be much more respectful and dignified way that still serves your purpose. I certainly zdo not wish you harm or bad tidings. Like I say it was never your views I had a problem with, its your delivery. Sincerely have a good night sir.

@Abstraction Actually Abstraction I do owe you an apology. You are right, it was not you who made the "head out of your ass comment" so I take back what I said and I sincerely apologise. I should had read this closer. It was actually that arrogant tard "quitwhendone"who made the comment. I would have actually told him to go f*ck himself, but again I am only suggesting it, not telling him what to do. Besides that, if he does go f*ck himself, he might poke himself in the eye, as he seems to subscribe to the idea that one's head is apparently located in ones ass. As to you sir, once again my apologies for misconstruing what you said.

@wexxxxcccc I appreciate that. You've just said a lot about who you are. I'm sure we could have a really civilised argument over a beer, :D or skip the argument altogether.

@Abstraction I think so.
