I Have a Question

Why do a lot of companies tolerate lazy, pain in the butt employees who won't half do the job and call out all the time, but then blame good employees for slight mistakes and often fire them for the first mistake that comes along? Dad always told me it's baffling how crappy companies treat good employees but then treat the good for nothing employees like gold. And no this doesn't always happen. Bad employees do get the ax, but I've seen a lot of what I'm talking abt and so have others.

As an employer, I wouldn’t dismiss a good employee for anything much short of murder, but my tolerance for bad behaviour among ‘newer’ workers is much higher by necessity. A new generation of employees set pretty low expectations for themselves. Employers need positions filled and are stuck catering to entitled people who have minimal commitment and offer a dismal level of effort to their jobs. Believe me, it takes patience and I can understand why long-term, mature, and consistent employees would consider it unfair.
