I Have a Question

When you're doing something ( homework, drawing, writing, reading etc) do you listen to music or does it distract you?
Do you listen to music to change your mood at all? And what genre do you usually listen to?

I've been doing a lot of studying to prep for an interview next week, and what I've been trying to do is this: I listen to a certain couple of songs on loop while I do all of my studying, and before the interview I'll give them a listen to put me in a mental state where I can more easily remember what I studied. It's mostly beats with no vocals, in this instance.

Depends if I want music for relaxation or inspiration.
I often use classical if I'm report writing or editing. Not sure why, but it seems to work !A few weeks ago I had to write a report and it was broken into segments.
80's; 90's and 2000's.
So I tried listening specifically to popular music from those eras as I was writing.
Not sure it was worth it really !!
