so I just noticed my back brake light is burned out.

Can you replace those yourself or do I have to take it in?

Probably a YT vid can help you out.
ozgirl512 · 31-35, F
Piece of cake... As someone said below, open the boot. And there should be a panel in the big lining next to the light assembly that opens... As a general statement, each globe can then be pulled out
Lilymoon · F
@ozgirl512 sounds easier said than done. ha 😳
ozgirl512 · 31-35, F
@Lilymoon just try and have a look... You might surprise yourself ;)

Pretty hard to change a front brake light since cars don`t have those. 😬 *runs*
Degbeme · 70-79, M
@Lilymoon You might be able to get at yours through the trunk.
Lilymoon · F
@Degbeme Yeah I'm sure it's doable. 👍
@Lilymoon yeah I'm sure you can get yours through the trunk......
Lumberjack70 · 56-60, M
It depends on the vehicle but more on your confidence and skills. It should be able to be done at home. Good luck.
Lilymoon · F
@Lumberjack70 yeah I couldn't do it but maybe my hubby haha
Lumberjack70 · 56-60, M
@Lilymoon I agree. Let him have a shot at it!
JoeyFoxx · 56-60, M
Depends on the car.

If you bring it to a car parts store, someone there will be able to tell you if you can fix it yourself.
Lilymoon · F
@JoeyFoxx okies
GBPackersFan · 41-45, M
Nah you’ll just have to buy brake light fluid. You’ll need to check the brake light dipstick as well 😃
Lilymoon · F
@GBPackersFan Hey you're alive. 🤭
GBPackersFan · 41-45, M
Yes! I spent the weekend Christmas shopping 😏@Lilymoon
Lilymoon · F
@GBPackersFan yeah yeah yeah 🙄 😆

It used to be that changing out brake lights wasn't a big deal, but I don't know about more modern cars.
Jeffrey53 · 51-55, M
Just goto an auto store and get break light. They usually run about $2.50 some places are cheaper
Hmmmm depends are you good with your hands? 😏
Lilymoon · F
@NightsWatch I need a man to do that shit. 🤭
sciguy18 · M
@Lilymoon Lily, you sound like my last girlfriend. I tried multiple times to teach her simple repairs and she wanted no part of it. She specifically told me she just wanted to come home from work and have the repair done...
@Lilymoon apparently!
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
You can do either. If you are in the US valvoline instant oil change can change it out.
I've done it. Check out a YouTube DIY video for your make & model.

It’s usually a burned out bulb
Most are easy cheesy to change out
Lilymoon · F

Coppercoil · M
New cars are very easy.
Lilymoon · F
@Coppercoil yeah seems easy...mines a 2011
If you know how to you can do it yourself
DownTheStreet · 56-60, M
Depends on the car …
BackyardShaman · 61-69, M
Yes you can do it!
Eddiesolds · 61-69, M
I'd burn out the other one so they match
meJess · F
Most times it’s just a bulb, and you don’t need to take anything apart
Lilymoon · F
@meJess that's what I was hoping.. thanks
Lilymoon · F
@SmileOnYourBrother that's it?
@Lilymoon pritty much

You can replace them yourself if you know how. You should be able to access it after opening up the trunk.
JohnOinger · 41-45, M

iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
I have no idea I don’t even change my windshield wipers or put air in my tires. Why when I can always ask a man to do it 😂
Lilymoon · F
@iamonfire696 oh me too. 🤪

It's nice to know tho 🤭
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F

@Stereoguy cool
Crazywaterspring · 61-69, M
@Stereoguy Especially if you dress nicely and ask them. The parts are usually reasonably priced.
