I'll Keep Your Secret

When I was a schoolboy back in the seventies, I spent every day of my final term at school with one of these on under my uniform.

i remember seeing these in the Sears catalog...in my day, that was our "porn" 😂

@RedRider72: Definitely. Unfortunately, I let my curiosity get the better of me. You can't imagine the relief of finally being able to undo that zip and the clasps underneath it and let it all hang out when you've been stuck inside one for 10 hours!

@WillBGood: ah, I can breathe again!! LOL

@RedRider72: The worst bit was trying to sit down and not look as stiff as Frankenstein's monster! I can laugh now, but that first morning I bent about half-way and flopped into the seat with a loud gasp, causing my best friend sitting beside me to ask what the hell was wrong with me. ☺ I could hardly tell him I was having trouble with my corselette, so I said I'd slipped. Climbing the stairs was another trial, trying to lift my leg to go up a step against the resistance of my girdle legs without attracting attention was, as they say, "a challenge".😲

Hmm. To tuck your tummy in I wonder? Feels like it must get hot in there, no?

Well as long as people weren't trying to look down your shirt for a peek - who knows how shocked they might have been!

@sometimeslonelytoo: I was convinced that, everytime I heard someone laugh, they'd either spotted one of the bra straps showing through my pullover or the rings on my thigh where the girdle legs ended, and had figured out what I was wearing. Thank God I didn't have to go to gym class as I was revising for exams. I can just imagine standing in the changing rooms, opening my shirt and dropping my trousers to reveal my panty corselette.

Yes, well who knows what kind of attention that might have brought about, right?! I don't know how things have changed now, but changing rooms in my day, I was not comfortable with.

I wear what I want under my work uniform now, I guess there will always be those of us who just want to be our selfs 👍🏼

@WillBGood: It took a long time, but after several months I did get used to that feeling of being held in. TBH, the hardest thing was getting used to the embarrassment of having women's underwear on. But there wasn't much I could do about it. So I'd just get my girdle (and later a bra) on first thing in the morning, get dressed asap and try not to dwell on it.

@BerleiBoy: I see from your own stories that you still wear women's corsetry, though I appreciate there was an element of coercion. Do you really put that stuff on and go through the day without even thinking about it? If so, how long did it take to get to that point? I just can't imagine I'd ever have got to that stage.

I only really accepted it once I went to university and realised that this was going to be the way of things. Once you've accepted it as a permanent state of affairs, you stop worrying about it and just get on with your life.
