I had an Aunt, now passed away, who was 4'8". Her two sisters were 5' and 5'2" respectively. For some reason, the boys in that family were a LOT taller.
@cherokeepatti They say that good nutrition is responsible. I once visited the Catacombs in Rome, Italy, and the ancient bones of the people buried there are about 4' tall.
@4meAndyou nobody ever talks about the skeletons of giants that have been unearthed in various locations around the world. Little people were like grasshoppers compared to the giants.
@4meAndyou They called them Nephelim in the Bible days. Moses sent out spies to go check out the promised land and they came back saying “we are just like grasshoppers”….they were the sons of Anak who was a Nephelim giant. When King David was young he popped one between the eyes with a rock shot from his slingshot and killed him dead…a 6-fingered and 6-toed giant.
@cherokeepatti The literal biblical translation was that they were large and strong.
In the Hebrew Bible there are three interconnected passages referencing the nephilim. Two of them come from the Pentateuch and the first occurrence is in Genesis 6:1–4, immediately before the account of Noah's Ark. Genesis 6:4 reads as follows:
The Nephilim were in the earth in those days, and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bore children to them; the same were the mighty men that were of old, the men of renown.[14]
Where the Jewish Publication Society translation[14] simply transliterated the Hebrew nephilim as "Nephilim", the King James Version translated the term as "giants".[15]
The nature of the Nephilim is complicated by the ambiguity of Genesis 6:4, which leaves it unclear whether they are the "sons of God" or their offspring who are the "mighty men of old, men of renown". Richard Hess takes it to mean that the Nephilim are the offspring,[16] as does P. W. Coxon.[17]
The second is Numbers 13:32–33, where ten of the Twelve Spies report that they have seen fearsome giants in Canaan:
And there we saw the Nephilim, the sons of Anak, who come of the Nephilim; and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.

I'm thinking, that to people who were about 4' tall, men who were 6'5" would appear to be giants...but I could be wrong.
@4meAndyou If you look at the ancient city of Petra, it wasn’t built for anyone even 6 foot tall. Had to be huge suckers they built that city for. Tourists today look like ants when standing near the front steps of the buildings.
