Is opinionated a bad word?

It's a very great quality to have, it means you have a brain!!

No it's not a bad word or bad quality to possess.

Right or wrong, everyone has the right to an opinion.

We all have opinions. Some good, some bad.

I have opinions, too, but I'm very... Selective when it comes to which opinions I express and with whom I express them with.

The word Opinionated does not really describe a person with opinions..

Opinionated describes a person who wants to Impose their opinion on others,, usually by arguing with and denigrating others.. It describes an attitude,, a negative way of treating others who hold different opinions then you do..

Having opinions is a good thing.
Dismissing others opinions isn’t.
Opinionated tends to be used for people who don't listen to other people, and are not willing to concede they may occasionally be wrong.
But that's just my opinion. 🙂

it has bad connotations - normally it's used to indicate a person that is obnoxious in their expressing opinions.

Maybe confident is more accurate?
