I'll Tell You My Opinion

I have been seeing all over the news about this 17 yr old young man who could get 30 days for allegedly hitting his teacher in the eye with a paper airplane, and I see a lot of people complaining and saying how stupid that is, among other things.

The young man it appears is being charged with a third-degree assault and battery and was transported to a juvenile detention facility. He is out now on a $1,087.50 bond and due in court on Valentines Day.

Now if he the young man is in fact, guilty of what he is accused, notice I said if this is what I think.

The teacher had recently had eye surgery.........now when your teacher goes missing for any amount of time you know where your teacher is at, there is no possibility that he did not know his teacher had eye surgery.

The teacher claims he had problems with the young man in the past.

The young man just happened to hit the teacher in the same eye that he had surgery in.

The teacher's eye was red...........and the teacher pressed charges.

My opinion, I don't feel a bit sorry for the kid, it seems to me like he knew what he was doing and he did it anyway wanting to inflict pain on a teacher he doesn't like.

Would I have pressed charges against a student for hitting me in the eye with a paper airplane if I were the teacher? That's a different story, but with the same breath, I don't blame him for doing so.
