I hate that this is still a thing.
10,000 years ago, discrimination based on skin color served an actual purpose. Humans who looked alike had a better chance of surviving because they would confuse predators, much the same way zebras do today. But there aren't any saber-toothed tigers or dire wolves running around eating humans anymore. We killed them all.
Unfortunately, our poor brains don't evolve as fast as our situation. This is not an excuse. This is the exclamation why some people are still like that.
They are literally less evolved.
