SandWitch · 26-30, F
To be able to travel underneath the polar ice cap in a submarine like I've done many times, to see what that part of the earth once looked like when it was a tropical paradise 55 million years ago.
popmol · 26-30, M
@SandWitch i see thats one way of looking at it!

whoops yeah switched the poles! happens sometimes, santa does it too sometimes!

fascinating! learning about the icebergs of our world!
SandWitch · 26-30, F
@popmol
Very true about Santa and the icebergs! That is also why if the polar ice cap completely melted in the Arctic, nothing would happen... meaning the oceans wouldn't rise.

But if the south pole melted on continental Antarctica and the glacier on the continent of Greenland melted at the same time, the ocean levels would rise about 1 inch or 25 mm.
popmol · 26-30, M
@SandWitch so let's hope that doesn't happen! otherwise we are screwed!
