@Beatbox34 Some men look so dashing in that grey hair look. But you're so young, what's all this stress about?😂

@Beatbox34 Oh just on your beard. If you shave that off, no one will even know.😂

@SW-User lol but then I end up looking like a baby 🤣

SW-User
@Beatbox34 😂 Adopt a stern look that says you're no baby.

@Beatbox34 sign of stress which can deplete the nutrients out of you, your nerves and hair health are linked.
Beatbox34 · 31-35, M
@SW-User Lol then I gotta stare like Dwayne.
@cherokeepatti I had a lot on my plate tbh. My dad screwed us bad financially and I'm still struggling to solve it despite him dying 9 years ago. I remember feeling lost when I lost my job and a place to live as well.

@Beatbox34 My oldest sister was going through stress with her husband not working for years, our grandmother was dying, and her teen children were fussing daily. Not enough money….her hair turned white suddenly not gradually. A few years later she had a mental breakdown and was hospitalized for a year. Later on I told her I thought she might have needed extra stress vitamins because hair & nerve health are linked. She said she had a new doctor that put her on stress vitamins. And doctor Eric Berg says that premature greying is due to our body producing hydrogen peroxide that greys the hair. He has a video on You Tube about the nutrients needed. I know that copper in foods and also pantothenic acid and B-stress vitamins are really good.

@cherokeepatti I should have been bald by 30 then!

@SW-User I know. But you know stress can make my hair fall out. I have had periods of time when my hair got really thin because of it.

SW-User
@cherokeepatti Mine my have thinned from time to time as well and then grown back again. My grandfather had black hair until he died at age 86... My mum's hair did not go grey until she was past 70.
I have survived enough physical and emotional stress to wonder why there is anything left of me.

@cherokeepatti That is really sad. Sadly sometimes stress can't be avoided. Can I try those stress vitamins too? I mean I have never heard of them before today.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@SW-User yeah I understand. I was taking Siberian ginseng, which is an adaptogen, for stress when I was in my 30’s and 40’s due to stress and B-stress vitamins…both helped me a great deal. My adrenal glands is where it showed up most though.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Beatbox34 yes they sell them in health food stores and sometimes other stores too. I will tell you an interesting story about my uncle and his brother. Both in their late 60’s and they both had silver colored hair. My uncle’s brother started taking Shaklee vitamins and his hair turned salt and pepper. He had been silver-haired for over a decade. Then my uncle started taking the same vitamins. I went to visit one day and he had just gotten a haircut and it was unbelievable how many black hairs he had, he had gone salt and pepper too. He took them about a year and decided he liked his hair better silver and stopped taking them….which was a shame because those vitamins were so healthy for other conditions in aging.

@cherokeepatti Thank you so much for this. I shall try it now.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Beatbox34 Be patient because it takes quite a while to nourish the roots and get the color back and remember the nutrients will also help the rest of your body too, which is a good thing when you’ve been chronically stressed.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Beatbox34 I don’t know if they sell Shaklee vitamins any more but go get some good quality vitamins at a health food store….look for pantothenic acid as an ingredient.
Beatbox34 · 31-35, M
@cherokeepatti It sounds good. I read about it too and it helps build a stronger immune system as well.
I'm going to try this out for sure. Thank you so much again for this.

@cherokeepatti I can't find the shaklee vitamins but was able to find the stress vitamins.

@Beatbox34 Rainbow Light has a Men’s Vitamins that are really good. I bought some for someone who was extremely underweight like he was anorexic and he put on about 30 pounds within 6 months.

SW-User
@cherokeepatti My dad actually has bulimia -- he forces himself to throw up after meals. Recently, he has gotten scary skinny. He is smaller than I am in every way, including weight. I would get those Rainbow Light vitamins for him in a flash, if I thought he would take them...but he is one of those guys who knows everything. 🤨
Beatbox34 · 31-35, M
@cherokeepatti So this rainbow light does the same as stress vitamins too?
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@SW-User Cherry Boone wrote a book about her struggle with bulemia and anorexia and it seems there is a link to low levels of lithium which gives them more mental energy when their moods start going up so they don’t feel so dependent on food for energy. It might get it’s start with dieting where they don’t get enough lithium, which is just a trace mineral anyway and then it spirals on and on.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Beatbox34 The men’s vitamins seem to have every damn thing you could want in a vitamin. Just make sure you read the label. You can also buy extra pantothenic acid supplements to take. There are so many more high quality vitamin brands these days than back when my uncle was alive.
