@Donotfolowme I have an Amarone della Valpolicella D.O.C.G. in the fridge; the bottle was gifted to me as well, but I see it priced online >100€, so I'm waiting for the right moment to open it lol. Then I have a classic Valdobbiadene for the next time I'll get myself fish/seafood, and a bottle of sweet wine from Padua (Fiori d'Arancio). And that's it. I need a few more bottles in case everything shuts down again, possibly not overly expensive stuff that I won't feel remorse opening xD
@Elessar hahaha ikr I don't wanna buy expensive drinks. I am not dependent on alcohol just that I enjoy red wine, n my juniors gifted on our last day of training. I am happy with Merlot anyday. I drink whiskey and red rum occasionally like once in 2-3 years. I wanna maintain the skin n body that may last a lil longer.
@Donotfolowme Yeah, I'm not dependent either, more of an occasional drinker as you've described. It's just that when you have some good food (be it fresh fish/seafood, top-quality meat cuts e.g. a Fiorentina steak, a stew, cold cuts and artisanal cheeses, etc. having water (or worse, sweetened beverages) as your drink would be a crime.
Whisky for me personally is top during winter in front of the fireplace 🥃
@Elessar omg!! That looks amazing, brings back some memories haha nice. I have enjoyed alcohol but I really wanna drink occasionally not like regularly. Yes, I totally love it with meat, you mentioned some great stuff.
@Donotfolowme One single glass a day of red wine is deemed healthy as far as I know.
With whisky I go lightly as well, mostly on - you know - those deep-winter nights when the temp outside is below zero (celsius), foggy, and I reunite with friends around a fireplace lol
@Elessar oh hell I know how that goes hahaha I used to enjoy those nights with friends long long ago.. like over 10 years now. Still remember BBQ cold nights at times by the fireplace. Drinking loads of scotch n red rum 🤭 #funtimes
