@Straylight Can't say that was the answer I suspected! What drew you to Asatru? I'm sort of peripherally aware of it. Sadly, largely because of how some branches of white supremacists have tried to co-opt certain ideas and symbols.

Well, it's the religion of my ancestors. We came out of Germany to Norway and Iceland bringing the legends of Odin, Thor and the others with us to guide us through a new land to settle. My people have roots to those stories that extend much farther than our competitively brief fling with christianity.

@Straylight Oh yeah, I know the history. Well, generally. Anyways, very cool! British Isles paganism gets a lot more airtime but I was always interested by the Nordic stuff. I have Norwegian ancestry but not culturally in any meaningful way. My wife is pretty Swedish though.
