I know your favorite syfy book.
Do you have a list of your top ten syfy or favorite horror or fantasy novel?
Straylight · 31-35, F
@Pfuzylogic Ok, in no particular order:
1. Necromancer
2. Count Zero
3. Mona Lisa Overdrive
4. Sphere
5. The Martian Chronicles
6. The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy (all of them)
7. American Gods
8. Sandman (I'm also a Gaiman fan)
9. My Enemy My Ally
10. Evermeet, Island of Elves.

@Straylight
Neil Gaiman has my favorite Fantasy Novel ever, Neverwhere, he is awesome in American Gods also!
This might be pushing it but do you have favorite authors besides the untouchable William Gibson? 😁
Straylight · 31-35, F
@Pfuzylogic Neil Gaiman, J. Robert King, Ray Bradbury, H. P. Lovecraft, Jasper Fford, Terry Pratchett.

@Straylight
One of my favorite syfy anthologies was
“Again Dangerous Visions”. It was the second collection with short syfy stories collected by Harlan Ellison.
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
@Straylight Shit we like a lot of the same authors. My wedding cake literally had Don't Panic written on it. I also love the inclusion of mid-90s Forgotten Realms, the backbone of my teen reading years.
Straylight · 31-35, F
@CountScrofula I loved forgotten realms. And D&D in general.
Pfuzylogic · M
@Straylight
Played D&D in 1980 with the original book. My characters were a Paladin and a neutral female thief.
The thief was more fun to play.
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
@Straylight Yeah, I still run a Pathfinder game every weekend. I don't read as much fantasy any more but still like to indulge now and then. And I've read a lot of Gibson but never Mona Lisa Overdrive. Probably should get to that one.
Straylight · 31-35, F
@CountScrofula Its the end of the Sprawl Trilogy and ties together Neuromancer and Count Zero.

I haven't played D&D in forever. I was in a twice monthly Shadowrun game, but it fell apart when two of the players had kids.
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
@Straylight Yeah I remember you talking up Shadowrun. It's on my list to get to! Also stupid breeders. I lucked out with a group where nobody has, or wants kids lol
Straylight · 31-35, F
@Pfuzylogic My original character, who I've played and remade several times, was a female silver elf cleric of the seladrine.
Pfuzylogic · M
@Straylight
I don’t know the seladrine but I bet my elf misbehaved more! 😂
Straylight · 31-35, F
@Pfuzylogic Thats just the collective name for the elf gods. What kind of trouble did yours get into?
Pfuzylogic · M
@Straylight
This was 40 years ago but let’s say she used her feminine charms to set up major thefts. 😂
