@NorthernRoses Its (Norwegian) relatively similar to Icelandic too! I learned Swedish because I was raised in Minnesota in the USA which has a huge Swedish population. My grandma/mom both spoke it and taught me from a young age!!! You should be able to pick this sentence up.....

Icelandic is *technically* "Old" Norwegian, as it is the result of old Norwegians settling on Iceland and both languages evolving by themselves over time. It's a little bit trickier to understand than the other two Scandinavian languages!

And that's awesome! I had a great-grandfather who moved to either Minnesota or Wisconsin, suppose it might be Minnesota as Scandinavians tend to stick together.

@NorthernRoses I can understand a little Norwegian...lol or should I say Norsk but Yup There are a lot of scaninavians living in MN. They have a football team called the Vikings even! The capital city of Minnesota is called Minneapolis. It's pretty much the only place in the us to get lingonberry jam!

@new25 Close, but not quite. I've traveled enough to be on-schedule for that, but I feel like I've wasted time doing irrelevant stuff instead of for example learning how to play the guitar or something.

Otherwise, yeah. I've gotten sort of financially independent, I'm living by myself, I got a job, and I've worked a bit on myself. So, it's getting there.

@abe182 Mainly to have a space to rant about things, or to relieve boredom. I'm not a very emotional person, so having a space where I can whine with a very minimal risk of friends or family reading it is pretty comforting.

@PhoenixPhail I guess. It's not panning out awfully as it is right now, got a pretty good job and saving up money for an apartment quicker than originally anticipated.

@SaintAdelaide Wine red. I think it's such an elegant color, without being too dull or too saturated. So warm and calming.
