@Husher sorry, kinda injecting, but I am trying to stay on topic. I believe that's a cartoonized axolotl. they're kinda like salamanders, but there's something ... odd to them that I can't recall. wikipedia would be a helpful source.
I'm sure she'll have lots more useful info.
