Should I buy a home in detroit?
Many homes under 100k and I'd finally be able to be a homeowner. Lots of neat looking older homes too.

No. Parts of Detroit are almost completely deserted because of high crime and lack of economic opportunity. They are awful places to live.

@justbob The houses I were looking at were on the east side and a few were in southwest.
