I just woke up to such sad news about Dolly

We listen to Dolly ever single day my 7 year old absolutely loves Dolly… the thought of her hearing her idol has passed away makes me so so sad.. I don’t think I can tell her honestly 😞 she’d be devastated

Rest peacefully Dolly 🩷

She has to learn to grieve the big losses. My daughter was seven when my mother, who she adored, died. It took about six months to really sink in. Then it was several years of occasional "I miss Nana" and tears.

It’s up to you how and if you want to tell her or not. She’ll probably hear about it one way or the other. I feel really bad for her

@SJones48 that’s true she will find out one way or another it’s just so sad

@MommaBear the best thing to do is just to be there to comfort her and help her

i don't think she needs to know at that age but she might hear of it anyway they way everyone is talking about it 🤐 it will probably be on the news tomorrow

@MommaBear yeah... well your kids are fairly bright so.. i presume they will manage the appropriate emotions.. at least she lived a fairly long life.. tho some live longer.. 😳

@GoFish I’ve always been open and honest with my children about death and such so they typically handle it really well but with how much she adores Dolly I’m alittle nervous for how she’ll react
