Would you ever ask for a cup with just ice in it?

i might tomorrow at the golf course...i have some some tasty coolers that i'm bringing so i might ask for a cup or 2...but we usually buy our own ice and have it hidden in a cooler hidden in one of our golf bags...we usually have a mish mash of beers, coolers, ciders etc
