Whoever’s smart idea it was to have wood floors installed in the house when they have lots of kids AND live on a ranch I got some words for you…

(It was my idea Cowboy told me it was a bad idea and I didn’t listen) I now mop and vacuum multiple times a day 🫪 oh well I still like the look of them (plus I don’t want to tell cowboy I should’ve listened to him)

Ranchers would have used wood because it would have been a readily available resource when building their houses. Not because it was easy to look after.

Laminate or wood flooring looks great but it's so much work to keep on top of.

Still better than carpet - I've pulled up carpet that was supposedly kept clean and yuck, the dirt and filth embedded in the carpet was unbelievable.

Hard surface floors show the dirt and you can clean them.

If it's any consolation, all of that dirt would be there if you had carpets, you just wouldn't notice it. At least with wood floors it's easier to keep the floors clean
