Are you good at separating the art from the artist? Especially when they have controversies or scandals?

Good question. Caravaggio is a really good example for that. His paintings were so very influential and beautiful, but his conduct in public life was far from nice indeed

Yes, I'm fairly good at it. Just because someone is morally a piece of shit it doesn't mean they aren't talented and can't create amazing art pieces.

That's a great question.

It's an easier thing to do when the artist or author is dead and won't financially benefit from me viewing or reading their stuff.

And even easier to do if the apparent scandal or controversy is a temporary one...
