What does someone do with grits?

I went to the food pantry because I more than qualify and in the box I got I received two large packages of grits. No idea how to cook them or what to do with them. I've heard of shrimp and grits but I don't like shrimp.

Love grits ! You can make them all buttery or add sugar to them , if you wanna be fancy you can make em with shrimp, or you can eat them with eggs
