They’re delicious. Tangy, sweet, soft & juicy. Eat with skin on for extra fibre.
Have you ever had a dragonfruit? They’re very similar in texture but the dragonfruit is not tangy but it’s still delicious

I'm allergic to pineapple too but i can eat kiwi. They are real juicy and sweet/tart. Kinda reminds me of strawberries.

My dad loved them but had to stop eating them as he developed an allergy to them, makes me wary of them.

You need to catch them in the right phase. Unripe are sour and hard and overripe are just nasty, they have sharp chemical taste, almost like acetone smells. The right ones are very aromatic with well balanced sweet and sour taste. The white part in the middle is typically sweet and green is sourer and aromatic. If it's deep green that usually means it's overripe and can be too sweet or even fermenting with that chemical taste to it. I can't describe aroma as nothing else but if you can smell it, that's approximately how it tastes. Seeds are crunchy and can tingle on the tongue if you bite through them.

They are ok. Not my favourite. I find them slightly crunchy. Not too sweet.

Most people don't eat the skin but it is edible. I would eat the skin
The texture is kind of like Strawberries, but a different flavour. You cut them in half and use a spoon to scoop them out. Juicy and delicious.
