I live in Oklahoma. One of the maintenance men at the university told me he saw minnows clothes-pinned on a clothesline behind an apartment complex where he went to do maintenance. He said there were dozens of them and thought an Asian had hung them up to dry. A year or so later I saw an Asian woman come from those apartments and wade across the duck pond (very nasty water) and go to the duck island and remove dozens of eggs from the nests. I believe those fish were minnows that had been netted from the duck pond. They were probably dried to be cooked with rice. The university police caught a woman some time later who had waded into the duck pond and was taking duck eggs.
