I'm a doofus for almost hitting the support beam for where this one road forks

I just got home and the problem is I am very tired, it's night time, it's snowing and this particular road forks and instead of following the curve either left or right to keep in the lanes I kept going straight which somehow had me aiming right at the support beam to the overpass. I swerved and went over the concrete sidewalk thing dividing the lanes in the beginning somehow going from the left to the right. This truck stopped short next to me as if to look at me and say what the hell?

Hate to say it but it's not the first time that's happened to me on that road. However this was the closest I've come to smacking that beam.
