Injection tirzepatide

I’m not overweight but I have an eating disorder lol and I was able to get prescribed that weight loss injection online after being denied by my doctor for not being big enough. I didn’t have to do anything. I’m curious to try it. It’s not ozempic, it’s tirzepatide. I’m sorta doubtful but my caseworker is on it and she has lost a ton of weight. I don’t want to lose that much just some and idk I wanted to try it lol

Good luck!

I take 1mg per week of Ozempic, for diabetes. My A1C is down, and I think it is helping. I also cut out added sugar, soda, candy, and desserts.

They also sell Wegovy, which is just a larger dose of Ozempic (semaglutide).

I have not lost weight, but it does slow down my stomach. So, I cannot eat as often and feel full longer. I rarely feel hungry. But I still eat. Sometimes because I'm bored, LOL!

I am now trying to diet because weight loss will also help with my diabetes.

@JoyfulSilence I wonder how that equates to 2mg tirazeptide? They want me to start on that to adjust and not get sick but I just think it’s dumb. It’s too low a dose. I’ll probably call my caseworker and ask if I have to do that dose for four weeks. I haven’t told her I got it though. It seems ridiculous. I don’t have diabetes but I think since I quit alcohol, I do reach for food more often. So it’d be nice to learn how to stop that and if I feel full I could see it working

@Morrowind

They originally started me on 0.25 mg/week, to acclimate me. I did that one month. It was fine, except I drank too much water once and threw it up!

Then they upped it to 0.5mg, the normal starting long-term dose. After a few months and monitoring my A1C, my doctor recommended 1mg.

I am used to it by now.

I think the Wegovy dose starts at 2mg, and I think Ozempic is sold for 2mg, too. The names are all marketing and about approved use.

Once my doctor asked if I want more, just to lose weight. I declined since I would rather reduce and change my diet first, before relying on drugs. But I do need something for diabetes. Although technically I have dropped down into the "prediabetic" range.
