Would you rent a room out of your house?

I'm considering the idea for financial reasons. Only thing is the house needs work so that might deter people oh and I have cats which I refuse to give up.

No. Never know what a roommate will bring to your home, other people that could steal or whatever. Or bedbugs or eat your food etc. I value my privacy too much. I heard too many roommate stories from students to make me seriously consider it. After my daughter moved out of my two-bedroom apartment I thought it would be a good way to split the rent and save some money but I never went through with it. Privacy and not having to deal with other people’s problems or habits or disturbing my sleep etc. made me think it was better to just live alone.
