Depending on where you work can you talk to and joke with your manager as if you were friends or is it straight serious mostly?

Absolutely. She actually confides in me often and I feel safe enough with her emotionally that I can and have done the same. We’ve both been through a lot over the past couple of years and we’ve leaned on each other like friends would. She’s good people. I’m very fortunate.

I always kept a careful distance from management. The first job of management is to protect their job. They don't really do anything. You don't want to get in their way.

We're a small team and all share a laugh, often at each other's expense.

We are like 1 big family, only 5 workers & I see the boss for about 30 minutes a week.
