I ended up calling off today from work because I'm just so drained.

I feel guilty and have felt guilty all day long. I just couldn't do it my body hurt too bad and I was too tired to move. I did eventually get up and moving but I'm still so tired. No amount of sleep is making much of a difference.

Don’t ever feel guilty about not going to a job that will easily replace you. My boss from my last job always made me feel like POS when I called in sick.. and I would call in sick once a year if that.

@Wallflow3r I just have a ton of anxiety about calling off because at a former job I was given such grief for calling out sick. My boss accused me of faking being sick and that my coughing was theatrical and forced even though the rattling in my lungs was obvious. I threw up from coughing one day multiple times and he kept me working. Ever since that job and dealing with him I have crazy anxiety about calling out. I've also been sick a lot this year and have had to call out a bunch as a result so I'm extra paranoid

@separatetheheart Oh yea I have the same problem. I don’t think it’s right for a work place to make you feel guilty about it though. Wow, if they treat you like that then it sound like they don’t even care about you.

@Wallflow3r It isn't right but unfortunately in retail/service industry it's the norm. Even worse so when you have people acting like it's a badge of honor to come to work half dead.
