No it doesn’t make up for when working in retail. I was working as a greeter when Walmart decided the first year to stay open all Thanksgiving day. They had too many employees working, a lot of off-duty cops to guard the doors to keep people from running through the. Doors with unpaid-for merchandise. They did give a good dinner with a large rack of desserts that we could help ourselves too. The atmosphere was more like a funeral dinner than a Thanksgiving dinner. Walmart Walton’s just showed everyone how we rated with them when they decided to stay open on Thanksgiving. And it’s just like the manager remarked to me when the crowds started pouring into the store. There was nothing that night on sale that they couldn’t have gotten online for the same price had they made the effort.

We had our meal last week.
No, I am there to do my job, not be buddies with my colleagues. You may keep the meal and just leave me to do what needs to be done.

Reminds me of when it was snowing real bad and the roads were covered in ice and Walmart made its employees go to work but fed them ramen noodles for lunch lol

Not really. If there's time to eat a big meal at work, there's time to go home and eat.
