Holiday Troubles

Does nobody like the holidays? And I mean the ones that aren't being celebrated.
When October rolls around you'd think it would all be about Halloween. that's how it used o be to my recollection. But I'm walking around at an event and it's all Xmas themed. We haven't even gotten to Thanksgiving! Did our culture just forget this holiday exists or is there something I've missed about all of this?

So many people hate Halloween these days!! I don't get it. There's even a woman at work who takes her vacation around Halloween every year just so she doesn't have to see anything "scary". God what a bunch of soft little weaklings we've become.

@DearAmbellina2113 Don't say that. Scary movies are alive and thriving. I don't think we've become weaklings. I'm pretty sure it's something else. If anything maybe it's because Halloween isn't scary enough. Nobody feels the same scared so there's no reason to do that if it's not doing anything for them.
