No, I think they'd keep their mouth shut. Case in point, Neil Armstrong allegedly walked on the moon according to American folklore. The truth is, Neil Armstrong never landed on the moon, yet he spent the rest of his life going along with the story he was Ordered to support and he never did tell the truth about the US never actually putting a man on the moon.
