Next weekend I’m going to be driving about 12 hours with all 5 of my kids I’ll leave at night so they can hopefully sleep most of the time but I’m not looking forward to the drive

Please be careful. I just drove over 3k miles on a trip. 5 hrs is about the limit for a safe drive. Take breaks every few hours. 🤗

I don’t do night driving any more … unless around town and the city or stuff but for long drive I usually leave at like zero dark thirty and drive for 8-10 hours then get a hotel over night then rinse and repeat…if you get a hotel with a swimming pool the kids will have a place to burn off energy when you stop :-)

That’s quite a drive. With 5 kids it can easily go from 12 to 14. But hopefully they’ll sleep through most of it

Do you have experience doing this? Are you driving a van? 6 people in the car, you're 26-30, so 5 kids means some car seats as well and none of them available for relief-driving.

Just remember…when you’re at the the service station having fully fueled up, and the kids are still inside fighting over who gets to use the bathroom first while you stare at the road ahead with an empty car, you have a choice to make 🤭
