Good question. Let's call it intentional kindness that demands reciprocity.
Humans using kindness to manipulate humans into being kind back. It sounds ugly when described that way. But in most situations, it is what we're looking and hoping for after all. Perhaps it is something about being human that holds onto that kind of hope and gets offended when it doesn't receive what it wanted or expected.
