There are some older run-down motels that do that. They closed the one here that rented by the day, week or month. Mostly long-term residents there.

@cherokeepatti I have heard of some rich person living in a high class hotel as well. I don't remember the name but I do remember someone saying they went to visit that person in the hotel he(or she) was living in.

@hippyjoe1955 There are some people apparently wealthy that love living on a cruise ship after they retire. Costs a huge amount of money to do that. Imagine if they are diagnosed with a serious illness and have to leave and rent something to live in during treatment.

@cherokeepatti Yes I have heard of that too. I would be broke in a few days but hey if you have the money.....

@hippyjoe1955 I guess some people like to live a lifestyle where they don’t have to shop for groceries, cook meals or drive to restaurants to get meals, don’t want to mow a lawn & maintain a home etc. Everything done for them when living on a cruise ship. They can leave when they dock the ship a few hours to tour a site.

@cherokeepatti Kind of like when we work in the oilsands up north and are lodged in a camp. Camp provides room and board for the time you are there. Usually good food but the rooms are little more that room enough for a bed and a table to sit at if you want to write or use your laptop. There is always a TV in the room but I never turn it on.
