Been raising a boy since he was in 2nd grade 11 years ago. It’s been interesting and fun most of the time. I look back and think of how he has filled a void in our lives. Now his grandpa and me are dealing with cancer and this 18-year old high school senior has gotten his license and asks us every single day if we need him to do anything for us or go get something from a store that we need. Life is a circle that comes back around.

A health scare and a surgery. Underwent a procedure to help with my PTSD. I learned the best way to deal with stressful issues was to avoid them. Went from having children to young adults. I loved being a "mommy" for my kids; now I'm just Mom.

In so many ways. It's probably too long to list but the short version: I started drinking and stopped drinking again, I had two personal family tragedies that changed me, I healed from an injury that I thought I would have for life, I was forced to change carrers after 20+ years in the same industry and had to take a lower paying job, my Dad and my sister cut contact with me, I moved, I worked through a mental health crisis, and I've got a new perspective on life. There's more but I'll leave it at that.

For years I swam against the current, thinking that facing challenges and difficulties=growth. But eventually I realized too many challenges were bad for my mental health. Nowadays I'm trying to literally go with the flow🙂 it feels a little easy but I'm mentally better🤷🏻♀

I have become more grounded in my values putting things like future stability of home financial gain and long-term goals as integral parts of my future plans. I no longer am distracted by sub-par standards or subparate people I am focused on the bigger picture

I haven't changed. I was perfect then and I'm perfect now.
You don't tamper with perfection...LOL
(BTW, there's no egotism in my family...I got it all...LOL)

I developed ME and have to live with a permanent state of fatigue/exhaustion... and my party trick of collapsing when I push myself too far.
