If a random kid with parents nearby started talking to you then maybe tried climbing on you

Would you kind of let it go since they're a kid or would you say "hey are you gonna do something or what?"

I would talk to the parents as a courtesy. I definitely wouldn’t want my kid climbing on a stranger.
