Can expired eyedrops hurt your eyes?

I went over to someone’s house only for a couple minutes but they have a cat anyway I’m allergic to cats so I was only able to stay for a couple minute and my eyes itched and burned so bad I used eye drops but they were expired

I don't think it will hurt your eyes, it just may not do much. If eye drops are like other medications, they will just not be as potent after they expire. But they won't hurt you either. I imagine it's the same thing with eye drops.

Probably less effective but fine. I'd call a pharmacist or something maybe though or get new ones. Lol and to be fair some drops in date sting 👀

Eye drops usually expire 4 weeks after opening ,
But dont worry, using once doesn't hurt ...
Wash eyes thoroughly

Yes they can, as well as other serious eye problems. Due to the chemical composition degrading over time

Most eye drops are just salene solution. Salt water.
